Following his tenure at UM, Evans participated in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys and spent a brief time in the NFL before settling into a coaching career with his local community and as an assistant coach with St. Joe's Prep.
Evans' path from high school standout and college athlete to coach and mentor in youth and prep football circles exemplifies how to stay connected to the sport long-term.
