Villanova Head Basketball Coach Kevin Willard
Willard began his coaching career as an assistant under Rick Pitino at Louisville, where he developed a strong foundation in defensive strategy and player development. He earned his first head coaching role at Iona College in 2007, quickly turning around the program and earning MAAC Coach of the Year honors in 2010. Willard then spent over a decade at Seton Hall, where he led the Pirates to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and won the 2016 Big East Tournament. After a successful stint at Maryland beginning in 2022, he was hired as the head coach at Villanova in 2025, tasked with continuing the program's storied tradition of excellence.
